Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the Canada Pass mobile application ("App", "Service", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree
to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not
access the App.
Description of Service
Canada Pass is a mobile application designed to help users prepare for the Canadian Citizenship Test. The App
provides:
- Practice quiz questions based on official Canadian citizenship test materials
- Multiple quiz categories covering Canadian history, government, symbols, and culture
- Progress tracking and performance analytics
- Lightning round timed challenges
- Premium subscription features for enhanced content access
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use this App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 13 years of age
- You have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms
- You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations
If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the App.
Subscriptions and Payments
Premium Subscription
Canada Pass offers premium subscription plans:
- Weekly Subscription: Access to all premium features, billed weekly
- Monthly Subscription: Access to all premium features, billed monthly
- Yearly Subscription: Access to all premium features, billed annually
Premium Features Include
- Unlock all 10 quiz topic categories (7 additional topics beyond free content)
- Unlimited generated quizzes on any topic
- Access to Lightning Round 90-second challenges
- Detailed progress tracking over time
- Ad-free experience (if applicable)
Free Content
The following features are available without a subscription:
- Access to 3 free quiz categories: Canada History, Canadian Symbols, and Economy
- Basic quiz functionality
- Limited progress tracking
Payment Processing
- All payments are processed through Google Play Store (Android) or Apple App Store (iOS)
- Subscriptions are managed through RevenueCat
- You authorize us to charge your payment method for the subscription fees
Billing and Renewal
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current
period
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
- The renewal fee will be the same as the original subscription price unless you are notified in advance
Cancellation
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play or Apple App Store account
settings
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
- No refunds for partial subscription periods
- Upon cancellation, you will retain access to premium features until the end of the paid period
Government of Canada, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), or any Canadian
governmental agency
Quiz content is based on the official "Discover Canada: The Rights and Responsibilities of
Citizenship" study guide but is not official test material
We do not guarantee that our quiz questions will appear on the actual citizenship test
The actual Canadian Citizenship Test format, content, and passing requirements are determined solely
by IRCC
Success on our quizzes does not guarantee success on the official citizenship test
We strongly recommend studying the official "Discover Canada" guide provided by IRCC
This App is a supplementary study tool and should not be your only source of preparation
Intellectual Property Rights
Our Content
- All content, features, and functionality of the App are owned by Canada Pass
- This includes text, graphics, logos, icons, images, audio clips, and software
- The App and its content are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws
Restrictions
You may NOT:
- Copy, modify, or create derivative works from the App or its content
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Remove any copyright or proprietary notices
- Use the App for any commercial purpose without our written permission
- Share, sell, or redistribute quiz content
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the App
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App
Privacy and Data Protection
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated
into these Terms by reference.
Key points:
- We collect usage data, device information, and analytics
- We use Firebase (Google) and RevenueCat for analytics and subscription management
- You can control certain privacy settings within the App
- We comply with GDPR, CCPA, and PIPEDA regulations
Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR
IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
- Warranties that the App will be error-free or uninterrupted
- Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of content
- Warranties that defects will be corrected
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- This includes damages for lost profits, data loss, or business interruption
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the subscription in the past 12 months
- Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability, so these limitations may not apply to you
No Liability for User Actions
We are not responsible for:
- Your use or inability to use the App
- Results of the actual citizenship test
- Actions taken based on information from the App
- Third-party content or services
Termination
Our Rights
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without notice, for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Fraudulent or illegal activity
- Requests by law enforcement
- Unexpected technical or security issues
- Prolonged inactivity
Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your right to use the App ceases immediately
- You must delete the App from your devices
- No refunds will be provided for remaining subscription time unless required by law
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law
principles.
Dispute Resolution
- We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any disputes: support@canadapass.com
- If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in Ontario, Canada
- You waive your right to participate in class action lawsuits
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:
- Posting updated Terms in the App
- Sending an email notification (if we have your email)
- Displaying a notice when you launch the App
Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

BY USING CANADA PASS, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT:
- You have read and understood these Terms of Service
- You agree to be bound by these Terms
- You are legally capable of entering into this agreement
- You understand this is a study aid and not official citizenship test material
- You have read our Privacy Policy
